Greetings Deaf Community!

On October 6th, 2012, DOCM (Deaf Open-Caption Movies), had its 7th movie released!  This month was Taken 2!  What an event it was to attend!

A goal of DOCM and Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Stone Oak was to have a sold out event and indeed … it was!  Just 45 minutes before the movie started, the last ticket was sold!  What an action movie!  Liam Nelson (Leading Actor) had us on the edge of our seats waiting for the next unexpected to happen.  The movie was well done and worth watching at the big screen with THX sound system.  If you did not attend, you missed out on a great movie!

After the movie was over, the Deaf community gathered and talked about what they just saw and became a great social event.  Not only discussed about the movie, but we were able to catch up on news since we see each other once a month!

Our special thanks from DOCM (Joe Cepeda and Michael Razzen) and the Deaf Community to Brandon Wheeler, Manager for Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Stone Oak.  Brandon has been a great support to the Deaf Community on a monthly basis.  Without him, the event would not have happened!  Thanks Brandon.  You are much appreciated by us!

Great news!  DOCM has two movies to select for November’s event!  The movies are: Skyfall will be show on November 9th and Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 on November 16th!!  Please log onto Facebook and type in DOCM.  If you have not signed up, please do so.  Once signed in, you will be able to read the post and vote.

The deadline date to vote is Thursday, November 1st, 2012 by 5pm.  Once the votes been counted, DOCM will announce the winner.  How can can you vote?  Go to the Facebook website, type DMOC and vote. You can only vote for one movie.
